The Yacht & Surf Club is an official sailing school recognized by the Hellenic Sailing Federation.The club founded as the first yachting offshore sailing school in Alexandroupolis the year of 2004. Since then we organize yacht sailing courses for all levels.
To participate to an offshore sailing course you have to be at least 18 years old and to be healthy.
No previous experience needed for level 1.
The three basic courses we offer are:
- BASIC SKIPPER CERTIFICATION level 1
- ADVANCED SKIPPER COURSE level 2
- RACING COURSE level 3
The year round programm of the courses is as following
- April-May
- June-July
- September-November
- 5day course – fast track
The detailed programm of each course organized and announced with personal email a month before it begins.
The practical part held usually at Saturday and/or Sunday .The theory parts helds on Monday and/or on Wednesday afterrnoon.
The theory part of the courses held at HQ located at the west side of the port. We use new technologies, interactive learning and e-learning availability to help our students.
LEVEL 1
Theory

Chart ploterring and navigation.

LEVEL 2
To participate to an offshore sailing course level 2 you have to complete level 1 or equivalence training and to be in good health and fitness conditiion .

Engine and basic maintenance.
Spinnaker and basic trimming.

Two man berth and unberth.

LEVEL 3
This program is designed to proof the quality of education which provided to our students. The proof of this is the results and the prizes of our school.
We built teams with passion to sailing and we participate to regattas and to racing weekends to the Aegean Sea. The most famous are:
